Today and yesterday are the home stretch. This morning I gave the first of two talks related to this installation, after that I was able to dial in the formally neglected sleeves in the backroom. I also set most of the lights and began the straw line. I hope tomorrow the rest of the physical work gets done and i can shoot my pictures. I know it’s getting close though cause i spotted some wall vinyl on the title wall. Speaking of tomorrow, the first of two group printing events occur(come on down registration is open up until the moment we ink our work). Like with any gig I enjoy printing at the end as a chance to reference back to the discoveries made within this show. This time I have ideas and only hope that mother/father-time leaves me the hours to knock them out. By Thursday I should have final documentation posted online just in time for the preview opening that night, followed by the grand public opening friday, then I can hit the road. This install has definitely given me the fuel and ideas for what I want to happen when I get to Coastal Carolina in January and Columbia College in February. But first I must stuff my face and go to sleep.
The last framed piece showed up today, hooray!

Remember to always check under the hood of your installations before opening them up to the general public. Proper maintenance is the key to maintaining longevity with your temporary installations.
