day 2 @scsu

well day 2 went okay. for the first time i had brooke on site with me while i was working. she is only in town until monday when she ships back out for another dig. since i like to start my day around six when i am doing an install she was prepared to keep herself entertained while i worked, she had her knitting, and internet work, but instead she took an unexpected detour to snoresville.

there is also some video of the work she did “assisting” me with the install( but i figured no one wants to see 3 minutes of a sleeping woman and a weaving man). I think tomorrow she is going to sleep in while i go work. after tomorrow i should be able to catch a ride in each morning with the faculty who work at scsu and live in columbia.

by the time we left the form was starting to take shape around the column. tomorrow i will focus on the main curve around the column and hopefully begin defining the shape a bit more.
