    Building a Universe, SC State Museum of Art, Columbia SC, Spring 2014

    A group show of southeastern installation artists curated my Paul Matheny is currently being developed for the Lipscomb gallery and related sites on the grounds of the museum.

    Campaign of Good Fortune, Kendall College of Art and Design, Grand Rapids MI, September – October 2013

    Campaign of Good Fortune is a series of human scale fortune cookie fortunes, printed yard signs, and custom printed fortune cookies. These fortunes are  arranged to create a series of encounters in the grassy areas in front of the Kendall College  Federal building, The Grand Rapids Public Museum, and at various sites throughout town. more images here

    Out of The Box,2013, Artfields Festival, Lake City, SC

    I was one of four featured artists for the “Installation Art of the Carolinas” show curated by Erin Glaze-Nathanson for the Artfields festival. Along with artists, Jarod Charzewski, Jocelyn Chateauvert,  and Herb Parker, I was in residence creating a new site-specific work for this event.

    As part of the Artnow lecture series, focused on Southern contemporary artists, I will be giving a talk on my work and the “Have Sticks Will Travel” tour that has consumed the past 4 years of my life.     Woven Structure, City Hall Plaza, North Charleston, SC, 2013

    A new permanent work comprised of woven and welded steel has been sited in a traffic circle at North Charleston’s new city hall site. view images here

    November 21 - THiNGS a group show curated by Jonathan Brilliant opens at EYE Level 103 Gallery, Charleston SC
    THiNGS The title of the exhibition Things is taken from Martin Heidegger’s seminal essay Das Ding. This is meant to be a show in celebration of things and all their thingness. The show will include both functional and non-functional works of art, craft, and new media.

    While in Residence I will be attempting to create a suspended Structure entirely out of wooden coffee stir sticks woven in place and held by tension. The resulting installation will be on display through September 25, 2009

    I will be installing a new kinetic sculpture with audio piece titled Vibrating Coffee Cups With Mocha Tone Generator as part of this exhibition.

    A suite of recent rust on paper works, as well as the goldsworthy of the coffee shop to-go piece were taken into the inventory of the gallery

    Ten days spent weaving stir sticks on site to create the new commisioned installation the city gallery piece

    April 2009-March 2010- National Outdoor Sculpture exhibition, Riverfront park, North Charleston SC
    The welded steel sculpture Big Ass Water Bottle Basket was included in this juried outdoor sculpture exhibition which remains on display through 2010
